Heather Chastain of Dunnsville and Imani Yasin of Baltimore, Md., both earned a spot on the Softball All L.I.S. Team. Chastain received the most valuable player award and the award for highest batting average. Coach Sue Haney recognized Tiffany Sutton of Milford as the most improved player. Lindsay Longest of Mechanicsville received the coach’s award. JV softball coach Leigh Angel named Renata Bustamante of Mexico most valuable player. Makiko Hashida of Japan and Keara Faust of Tappahannock both received coach’s awards. Frankie Berscak of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Sarah McClellan of Orange earned spots on the Division II All L.I.S. Soccer Team. Coach Javier Molinares named McClellan the most valuable defensive player. She also received a senior award. Berscak was named most valuable offensive player and Renee Greenslade of Bermuda was named the most improved player. Becca McKinley of Tappahannock received the coach’s award and Nan Nazda of Newport News received the golden boot award for scoring the most goals this season. On the golf team, Caroline Rollins of Atlanta, Ga., received the most valuable golfer award from coach Butch Gross. She also received a senior award. Lucia Pulchine of Warrenton took home the coach’s award. Sarah Keating of Frederick, Md., was the team’s most improved player. On the crew team, Grace Rickenbaker of Atlanta, Ga., received the most valuable rower award and Amy Hebbel of Hilton Head Island, S.C., received the award for most improved rower. Quinn Kolbe of Orefield, Pa., received the coach’s award from coach Maren LaLiberty. On the JV team, Hailey Hundley of Champlain received the coach’s award and Lizzy Cordes of New Orleans, La., was named most improved rower. |
