The St. Margaret’s Scotties Field Hockey defeated the Lancaster Red Devils 2-1 during the third game of the season Sept. 16.

Junior Frankie Berscak of Kitty Hawk, N.C., secured the win when she scored the second goal on a penalty corner. Senior Sarah Keating of Frederick, Md., scored the first goal during the first few minutes of the game. Coach Laura Dusablon also credited the Scotties defense for the win.

“Our strong defensive line dominated the game on the offensive end,” she said.

The two teams have not competed against each other in two years. Last time, the Red Devils took the win. St. Margaret’s season record stands at 2-1.
