Ms. Higginbotham first stepped onto St. Margaret’s campus as a high school student ready to take on the SMS lacrosse team While she does not recall the score of the game, she vividly remembers first encountering the stunning river view as her mini-bus turned onto campus.

Self-described as “your typical, dorky English major,” Ms. Higginbotham looks forward to showing students how literature is relevant to their lives. She is very eager to assist the SMS girls with both their academic and creative writing pursuits.

No stranger to dorm life, Ms. Higginbotham graduated from Virginia Episcopal School as a “day student turned boarder” and served three years as a freshman resident assistant at William and Mary. She is thrilled to be a dorm parent in Latane Hall. After playing club volleyball at home as well as in England while studying abroad, Ms. Higginbotham will assist with the varsity volleyball team. Overall, she is thoroughly excited to become a part of the SMS community.
